Como ya prometí el último post de mi viaje iba a ser uno de dónde se pueden encontrar CRAFTS en Bangkok. Antes de ir traté de buscar por la red algún sitio dónde encontrar crafts Japoneses, ya que imaginaba que estando más cerca de Japón …seguro que algo tenía que haber.Tras informarme un poco por la red, vi que podría encontrar cosas en más de un centro comercial, la verdad que no soy de centros comerciales, pero leí de uno que era el más grande del Sureste Asiático y bueno, con lo grande que es Bangkok, moverse de tienda en tienda iba a ser perder mucho tiempo, e ir a un centro comercial, aunque no me motivaba demasiado otra cosa no, pero práctico es.
El centro comercial se llama “Central World Plaza”.
Era el último día de las vacaciones y además coincidió con mi cumpleaños, así q nos fuimos allí a las 10 de la mañana cuando abrían y salimos como a las 6 de la tarde!!!!!! Y es q aquello era enorme! Y había miles de tiendas de todo tipo, 8 plantas enormes!!! Una planta enorme llena de restaurantes de todo tipo…
Nada más llegar ví una tienda en la que vendían libros, pelis, etc…entré y la planta baja de la tienda era una papelería con miles de cosas chulísimas. Había un montón de cosas zakka, como cosillas de decolé, sellos, tintas, libretas preciosas, washi tape…Un montón de cosas cute y divertidas.

As I promised you, the last post of my trip would be one about where you can find CRAFTS in Bangkok. Before I went there, I tried to look where to find Japanese crafts there, as I imagined being closer to Japan ...maybe I could find something.  

When I looked into internet, I saw that I could find things in more than one shopping center. The truth is I don’t specially like these places, but I read one of them was the largest in Southeast Asia and well, since Bangkok is so so high, moving from shop to shop would be wasting much time, so go to the shopping center could be the perfect solution.
The shopping centre is called “Central World Plaza”.
It was the last day of vacation, and it coincided with my birthday, so we went there at 10 am just when it opened , and left at about 6 pm !!!!!! It was so huge! And there were thousands of shops of all kinds, 8 huge plants! A huge plant filled only with all kinds of restaurants….
Upon arrival I saw a shop that sold books, movies, etc ... and it has a stationery store with thousands of very cool things. There were a lot of zakka things, decole supplies, stamps, inks, books, precious washi tape ... A lot of  cute and fun things ...

Subiendo una planta más arriba me encontré con la tienda Pkky shop, una mercería en la que había lanas, hilos, ganchillos, agujas, tejedoras…y un montón de cosas más.

Going up a floor above the store I found Pkky shop, a haberdashery where there were wool, yarn, hooks, needles, knitting ... and a lot more things.

Pero yo iba con ganas de encontrar revistas y libros japoneses de crafts y tras ir de tienda en tienda justo arriba había como una sección con un montón de restaurantes Japoneses y tras dar casi por perdida la búsqueda me encontré con una librería Japonesa enorme.
Lo mejor fué cuando Alberto me viene y me dice: creo que he encontrado lo que buscabas, y me encuentro con unas cuantas estanterías llenas de revistas japonesas!!!!! Debió de sentir mi emoción que me dijo: elije las que quieras que te las regalo para el cumple, y nada, que me llevé unas cuantas :) .
Decir que el precio no era mucho menor que el que encontramos en yesasia o etsy, pero bueno, tiene la ventaja de que las puedes ojear antes de comprarlas, la verdad que me tiré un buen rato para decidirme porque tampoco era plan de comprar todas…
Y lo guay es que luego te forran todos los libros-revistas que compres! Así que las tengo súper bien guardadas.
Y bueno, al final os pongo también un par de fotos de unas lámparas que vi en una cafetería del centro comercial que me encantaron, a ganchillo, claro ;).

But I was eager to find magazines and books of Japanese crafts, and after going from shop to shop we saw a section with lots of Japanese restaurants and when I thought I was lost the searching, I found a huge Japanese bookstore.
The best is when Alberto comes and says I think I found what you are looking for, and I saw an entire section full of shelves with Japanese magazines !!!!! He must feel my emotion because he said me: choose wherever you want as the gift for the birthday.
The price price wasn’t much lower than what we can find in YesAsia or etsy, but well, has the advantage that you can take a look inside of the books before you buy. But I spent so much time to decide what to buy!!
And how cool is that after all the books lining you-buy magazines! So I have them really well kept *...*.
And finally I saw you a couple of photos of a lamp I saw in a mall coffee shop that I loved, done with crochet, of course, ;).

Hoy quiero enseñaros un lugar mágico en Camboya. 

Solamente estuvimos en Siem reap, que es la ciudad mas cercana a los templos de Angkor Watt, entre otros...

Pero estábamos tres días enteros y aunque hay templos de sobras para estos tres días o más, una tarde decidimos desconectar un poco y hacer una excursión menos común entre los turistas.

Si he decidido contarlo aquí es porque fué increible, y a todo el mundo que vaya a Siem reap le recomiendo que se haga esta pequeña escapada, ya que vivimos de los momentos mas bonitos del viaje.

Cerquita de Siem Reap se encuentra también el lago Tonle Séap, un lago enorme de unos 2.590 km², en el que se encuentran unas cuantas ciudades flotantes.

Decidimos ir a una de ellas que se encuentra mas alejada, pero que nos la recomendaron unos amigos que fueron, ya que es mas bonita y menos turística que otras, por lo que si ya es auténtica de por sí, vivir la experiencia sin ningún turista a tu alrededor todavía lo es mas, si cabe.

La excursión se compone de una visita en lancha motora a kompong phluk, el pueblo de los rascacielos de bambú.

Today I want to show you  a magic place in Cambodia. 

We only visited Siem Reap, that is the more nearby city to Angkor Watt temple.

But we stayed there for three fully days, so we decided to disconnect a little bit about temples and visit other place less common between the tourists.

If I have decided to show you this, is because it was incredible, and I recomend to visit to everybody that go to SiemReap, not all are temples, and it was the most magical time of my trip.

Near to Siem reap is the Tonle Séap lake, a huge lake about 2.590 km², in which are some floating villages.

We decided to go to one of them that are more far away of Siem Reap, but that two friends recommended us, because  is more beautiful and less touristic than the other floating villages of this lake.

The little visit is composed by a visit on motorboat to Kompong phluk, the village of the bamboo  skyscrapers.

Una vez llegas al pueblo justo allí se encuentra un bosque inundado, y pasas de la barca a una canoa y te das un paseo entre los árboles inundados.

El paseo es precioso, la luz que entra entre los árboles, el silencio con el sonido suave de los remos en el agua...MÁGICO.

Once you arrive to the village, just there is a flooded forest. you move from the motorboat to a canoe and you give a walk between the flooded trees.

 The walk is precious, the light that enters between the trees, the silence with the soft sound of the oars in the water... WIZARD.

 Después de este paseo vuelves a la lancha motora y se va hacia el lago Tonle Séap, te dejan parado ahí en medio y si quieres te puedes hasta bañar, es impresionante lo grande que es, de hecho, parece el mar.

After this walking you come back to the motorboat and it moves to the Tonle séap lake. The boat stops in the middle of the lake, that is interminable, and it looks as you were in the see...a very calm see...If you want you can even take a bath.

A la vuelta se vuelve a pasar por kompong phluk, pero esta vez te dicen si quieres bajar a visitar el pueblo, ya que parte de las casas están sobre la tierra, y es maravilloso hablar con la gente, ver a niños felices con tan poco......

Los Camboyanos sin duda son gente maravillosa, educada, alegre, hospitalaria...y bueno, ahora cuando veáis las fotos podréis ver también que tiene  unos rasgos increíbles!

En definitiva, tengo que volver a Camboya!

And finally, when you come back you return to kompong phluk, but this time you can visit a part of the village that is over the land, and is incredible to talk with the people that live there, to see child so happy (despithe they haven't as much things as us..)

Cambodian people are without any doubt are wonderful, polite, happy, hospitable people ... and good, now when you see the photos you will be able to see also that has a few incredible features!

 Definitively, I have to return to Cambodia!

Es muy difícil volver al trabajo después de un viaje tan mágico, y es que hemos respirado de todo: naturaleza, artesanía, espiritualidad, caos, mucho caos, ruido, felicidad, mucha felicidad a pesar de no tener mucho,farolillos, arrozales, verde, tradición, playas, paraiso, peces, coral, niños, templos milenarios, selva, flores, mosquitos, guerra......infinidad de cosas que hacían que cada día fuera distinto y especial.

Una imagen vale mas que mil palabras, ha sido difícil elegir, pero para otro día dejamos las fotos del sitio mas especial del viaje, y también haré un post sobre dónde comprar crafts en Bangkok...Feliz Semana!!

Is very hard to come back to work specialy after a magical trip, in which we breathed several things: nature, craft, spirituality, chaos, very much chaos, noise, happyness, a lot of happiness in spite of not having very much, chinese lanterns, rice-fields,green,perfidy, beaches, paradise, fish, coral, child, thousand-year-old temples, jungle,flowers, mosquitos, war.......infinity of things that were doing that every day was different and special.

One image says more than thousand of words...it has been difficult to choose, but other day we'll show you the most special place we knew in this trip, and we will also post where to buy crafts in Bangkok....Happy week!!!
