El próximo 16 de Junio cogemos las maletas y nos vamos de fin de semana con las Sabadettas a Lekeitio.

 Aprovechando que estamos cerquita de Bilbao y que teníamos muchas ganas de conocer la a Vanesa y su preciosa tienda, daremos nuestro primer taller en AH!.

Ya sabéis que nos encantan todas las técnicas artesanales, y como Riojanas que somos vamos a enseñaros a hacer unas alpargatas bordadas desde cero.

Las Alpargatas son muy típicas de nuestra zona, siempre recordaremos a nuestras abuelas y tía Gloria haciéndo una detrás de otra.

En el vídeo que os mostramos al final del post podréis conocer más de cerca la técnica, muestra a señoras y señores haciendo desde la suela, la puntera,  hasta el montado de la alpargata, y está grabado en Arnedo, muy muy cerca de nuestro pueblo, Autol.

Pero vayamos a lo importante!  para el curso no hace falta que tengas ningún conocimiento, os enseñaremos los 3 puntos de bordado que se usan para hacer el modelo de la foto (festón, nudo pequinés y margarita) y una vez que tengamos la tela bordada aprenderemos a montarlas sobre la suela, es decir, harás tus Alpargatas enteritas!!!

Las alpargatas las haremos con suelas tradicionales y con tela de lino 100 x 100 natural, y si alguien quiere improvisar su bordado y hacer algo diferente nosotras estaremos de apoyo para aconsejar y enseñar lo que haga falta! Animaros que seguro que lo pasamos muy bien!

Los datos del taller:

Fecha: Domingo 16 de Junio de 10:00h a 14:00h en AH!, C/Carnicería Vieja, 18. Bilbao.

Duración: 4 horas.

Nivel: Iniciación. Os enseñaremos puntos básicos de bordado y a coser la tela sobre la suela de la alpargata. Fabricarás tus propias alpargatas desde cero!

Precio: 60 EUR Todos los materiales están incluidos: patrón de la alpargata, tela de lino natural, hilos para bordar, suela, aguja especial e instrucciones. 

Como apuntarse?:  Escribe un e-mail a info@ahmoda.com e indicar vuestro número de pie para hacerlas de vuestra talla y que las podáis llevar y disfutar durante el veranito. Recuerda que son plazas limitadas y teneis que esperar a que Vanesa os envíe un correo de confirmación.

Next June 16th we take our bags to spend a weekend with our Sabadettas at Lekeitio.

  Since we'll be really close to Bilbao and we really wanted to know AH! Shop and Vanesa, we will be conducting our first first workshop at AH!.

We guess you know that we really love all craft techniques, and as Riojanas we are, we are going to teach you how to make embroidered espadrilles from the begining!

The espadrilles are very typical of our area (La Rioja), we will always remember our grandmothers and aunt Gloria making espadriles. 

In the video that we show you at the end of the post, you can learn more about this technique.

 It shows ladies and gentlemen doing first the sole....until mounting the espadrilles, and is recorded in Arnedo, very very close to Autol, our village.

But let's go to the important that are the course details! 

You don't need to have any knowledge, we will teach you the 3 points of embroidery that are used to make the model photo  (festón, nudo pequinés and margarita) and once we embroidered the fabric you will learn how to mount them on the sole, so you will make the full espadriles from the begining!!!

Workshop Details:

Date: Sunday June 16th  from 10:00AM to 02:00PM at AH!, C/Carnicería Vieja, 18. Bilbao.

En nuestra visita fugaz a Londres no queríamos dejar de conocer este lugar. El local y la decoración son preciosos, y todos los días tienen actividades a la hora del te y los fines de semana incluso por la noche. También puedes hacer tus compras craft y golosas en la mini tienda que tienen al principio. Si viviéramos allí sería uno de estos sitios a los que iríamos a menudo, súper recomendable!

In our short London visit we didn't want to leave the city without knowing this place. The place and the decoration are precious, and every day you can find differnet activities. You can also do your craft and sweet purchases in the little shoup they have at the begining. If we were living there, it would be one of these places to which we would go often, super advisable!

Hoy os queríamos enseñar el video tan bonito que ha preparado Anabel para la presentación de "El Costurero 3". Hemos tenido la suerte de colaborar en este número  con un tutorial muy chulo, rodeadas de diseñadoras-crafters a las que admiramos mucho, pero eso hasta Febrero que salga el número será sorpresa :). Tenemos muchas ganas de tenerlo en nuestras manos! ❅❄❈❅❄❈❅❄❈❅❄❈ Today we wanted to show you the wonderful video that Anabel has prepared for  "El Costurero 3" presentation. We have been so lucky, because we participate on this issue  with a very cute tutorial, surrounded of several Crafters-Designers that we admire. But until February it will be a surprise! We are really excited to have it in our hands!

 Hacia ya unos cuantos días que no actualizábamos, y es que estamos a tope tejiendo para invierno. Lo que os hemos enseñado son unos pequeños detalles para un bonito proyecto que si todo va bien dará la luz en Octubre ^_^.

Ahora estamos de pleno con los pedidos de los clientes de "la Casita de Wendy". Hemos terminado de tejer, ahora nos toca bordar...y bordar... Pero todo este trabajo que tanta satisfacción nos produce se merecerá un post a parte y con el ventilador se lleva bien ^_^.

De la mano de "la Casita de Wendy" los guantes de montañas  y cuello de pompones salieron esta semana en un bonito post que les dedicaba Miss James en su blog, bleubird

Now we are full with orders from  "la Casita de Wendy"customers. We have finished the crochet, now we have to embroidery and embroidery ... But all this work that makes us so much satisfaction deserves a post apart, and with the fan we are really ok ^_^.

This week Miss James of the blog bleubird dedicated a very beautiful post to "la Casita de Wendy" where the mountains gloves and the pom pom collar we did for their winter collection appears among all their beautiful stuff.

Hace unas semanas la conocida marca DMC nos envió a casa  un pack de 10 ovillos DMC Natura con sus nuevos colores para que los probáramos. La línea  DMC Natura salió como novedad el pasado año, nosotras ya caímos rendidas a ellos e hicimos mas de un detalle para el baby boom que nos rodeaba usando  DMC Natura  (puedes verlo AQUI y AQUI) y alguno de nuestros bolsitos de crochet (AQUI , AQUI, AQUI).

La verdad que nos encantan por su suavidad, su acabado mate y como no, su gama de colores! que si ya el año pasado tenían unos colores preciosos, este año han aumentado la paleta con muchos mas!

Arriba tenéis unas fotos de lo que hemos estado haciendo para probar los ovillos  DMC Natura:

1. Pañuelo para el verano con granny square en forma de triangulo.

2. Bolsillos de quita y pon, para faldas/pantalones sin ellos, o poder llevarnos el ganchillo con los ovillos a cualquier sitio. Como veis, el  DMC Natura se puede usar perfectamente para bordar y darle otro toque a las labores.

3. Unas sleepers, también bordadas con  DMC Natura.

4. Una teapot holder. Podéis hacerla siguiendo el patrón que encontrareis AQUI.

Some weeks ago  the famous brand DMC sent us 10 samples of their cotton thread  DMC Natura. The DMC Natura line was a novelty last year,  when we used some of them to made some details  for the baby boom around us (you can see HERE and HERE)  and some of our crochet clutches  (HERE , HERE, HERE ).

We love DMC Natura for its softness, its matte finish and of course, the colour palette! if last year  DMC Natura  had a lot of beautiful colors, this year have increased the palette with a lot more!

In this post we show you some pictures of what we have been doing with the new colors of DMC Natura thread:

1. Bandana for summer with granny square shaped triangle.

2. Removable pockets to skirts / pants without them, or to take the hook with the balls anywhere. As you can see, the Natura DMC can be used to embroider perfectly to give a different touch to the handmade stuff.

3. Sleepers, also embroidered with  DMC Natura.

4. A teapot holder. You can do it by following the pattern that you will find HERE.

 Hoy hemos dejado en el taller estos bordados entre otras cosas para nuestra colección limitada de verano, a ver qué tal queda! Teníamos ganas de hacer algo de ropa con nuestros bordados, y Vir nos animó a que probáramos a hacer algo con tela vaquera...

Today we left at the workshop these embroideries to do some clothes for our limited edition of our summer collection, we are so excited to see the results! We wanted to do some clothing by using some of our embroideries, and Vir encouraged us to try to do something using denim fabrics...

Hoy me ha llegado este libro que ví por primera vez en el blog de Olivia y he estado intentando hacer uno de los patrones que venían. La verdad que es súper divertido y se pueden hacer muchísimas cosas! El libro viene con muchas ideas y los patrones se entienden muy bien, estoy encantada con la compra!
